Safer Recruitment

Enhanced DBS. DBS Update Service with regular checks. Minimum of two references prior to commencing employment. ID checks. Full Employment history, all gaps explored. Reason for leaving previous positions with children or adults explored. Qualification checks.

 

Visitors

Visitors to the home are not admitted unless we know who they are, who they are visiting, and have ID on them to carry out identity checks. Our children are taught to not admit anybody to the home without carrying out these checks and finding an adult staff member first.

 

Security

Our homes have security alarms in place with entry and exit doors monitored via this system.

Registered with Environmental Health Officer Rated 5 food hygiene Safer Food Better Business Staff Trained Daily checks Management Audits

 

Safeguarding Training

Staff trained during a robust 4 week induction. Additional follow up training provided to enhance understanding. Staff supervisions to provide ongoing support in recognising potential harm or abuse.
